Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Federation Ltd. (NACCFL) is continuously working to strengthen the capacity of its member cooperatives—not only in financial and institutional management, but also in the digital skills and technologies required to remain effective, competitive, and future-ready.

In this regard, NACCFL successfully completed a three-day AI-Based IT & Digital Skills Training from Ashoj 5 to 7, organized for employees of its member agricultural cooperatives. The training was conducted in two lots, with participation from 35 employees representing 31 agricultural cooperative institutions.

The program focused on the practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern digital tools in the day-to-day operations of cooperatives. Participants gained both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience in areas including:

Introduction and practical use of AI tools
Using AI for email and document preparation
Canva and digital content creation
Social media management and digital marketing
MS Office and productivity tools
Cybersecurity and responsible use of AI
Other emerging digital tools relevant to cooperative operations

With this latest training, around 160 member cooperatives have now been reached through NACCFL’s AI-Based IT & Digital Skills Training initiatives, supporting employees and institutions in developing practical digital capabilities for their day-to-day work.

The training reflects NACCFL's continued commitment to building the capacity of member cooperatives in response to changing technological and operational needs. As AI and digital technologies increasingly become part of everyday organizational work, equipping cooperative employees with relevant skills is important for improving efficiency, productivity, communication, and service delivery.

NACCFL believes that capacity development is a continuous process. Alongside strengthening cooperatives in financial, institutional, and managerial areas, the Federation is also focusing on digital transformation and AI-enabled capacity building, helping member cooperatives adapt to emerging opportunities and challenges.
