NACCFL Nepal had a fruitful discussion at FAO Nepal with representatives from FAO Nepal and DEC Nepal, focusing on advancing digital accessibility and inclusion across NACCFL’s digital platforms.
As an organization working with diverse farming communities across Nepal who are connected to NACCFL through agriculture cooperatives, including Indigenous Peoples, marginalized communities, women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other underserved groups, we believe that digital transformation must be inclusive and ensure that no one is left behind.
With the rapid evolution of today’s digital landscape, accessibility is no longer optional- it is essential.
In this regard, NACCFL, in collaboration with DEC Nepal and with the facilitation of FAO Nepal, is committed to enhancing the accessibility of its two key digital platforms:
Kisan Ko Poko - https://kisankopoko.com/
An e-commerce platform connecting cooperative-based rural producers and smallholder farmers with urban consumers, promoting local agricultural products and creating better market access for farmers.
NACCFL Official Website - https://naccfl.org.np/
The official digital platform of NACCFL, providing information about our organization, initiatives, services, activities, and engagement with agriculture cooperatives across Nepal.
Both platforms will be enhanced in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, with an initial commitment to achieving up to 80% accessibility compliance.
This initiative is more than a technical upgrade. It represents our commitment to creating inclusive, user-friendly, and accessible digital platforms that enable everyone to access information, services, markets, and opportunities more easily.
Together, we are taking a meaningful step toward making digital inclusion a reality- ensuring that technology creates opportunities for everyone, not barriers.
